ON-BOARD SATA (NAND) FLASH WRITE PROTECTION
Linux, as a part of its basic configuration, caches its file system. When cached, it has been
observed that a write-protected SATA Flash may appear to delete a file. Once the file system
has been made coherent with the NAND Flash, the “deleted” file will be seen to still be present.
