17 Long thread cutter
17.1 Setting the height of the thread-pulling knife

Proper setting
The thread-pulling knife (2) pivots as closely as possible above the hook
and is at the same height as the counter blade (1).
To set the height of the thread-pulling knife:
1. Open the throat plate slide ( p. 20)
1. Loosen the screw on the adjusting ring (5).
2. Loosen the clamping screw (8) ( p. 85).
3. Adjust the height of the knife carrier (4).
The thread-pulling knife (2) is the same height as the counter blade.
The thread-pulling knife (2) does not collide with the bobbin or middle
section of the hook.
WARNING
Risk of injury from sharp and moving parts!
Cutting and crushing possible.
Switch off the machine before setting the long
thread cutter.
