Operating Instructions M-TYPE DELTA - 01.0 - 08/2019 23
To change the needle in a 1-needle machine:
1. Turn the handwheel until the needle bar block (1) reaches
the upper end position.
2. Loosen the screw (2).
3. Pull the needle out towards the bottom.
4. Insert the new needle into the hole of the needle bar block (1)
until it reaches the stop.
Important
Align the needle in such a way that the groove (3) faces the
hook (4).
5. Tighten the screw (2).
Order
Always adjust the clearance between the hook and the needle
after changing to a different needle thickness ( Service
Instructions).
Disturbance
An incorrect hook clearance can cause the following disturbances:
• Changing to a thinner needle:
• Skip stitches
• Thread damage
• Changing to a thicker needle:
• Damage to the hook tip
• Damage to the needle
