How To Test The Perfect Temperature

Service Mode
Activation–Thismodeisaccessibleonlywhen
thedrawerisinOFFmode.Pressandhold
thetemperaturedecreasekey(-)andthe
temperatureincreasekey(+)for5seconds.
Deactivation–Pressandholdthetemperature
increasekeyfor5seconds,ornokeys
pressedin5minutesreturnstotheOFF
modeofoperation.
Test Operation–Theup/downbuttonswillbe
usedtonavigatethroughthetestsandthe
ON/OFFbuttonwillbeusedtoinitiatethe
displayedtest.
Tests:
Fan Test–DisplayshowsF1forFANONtestorF0
forFANOFFtest.
Heater Test–DisplayshowsH1forheatertest
activeorH0forheatertestidle.
NOTE
Drawermustbeinplaceforthistest.Thistest
takes15minutes..HP=Pass,HF=Fail.
NOTE
Totestthethermistors,checkthetemperature
inthelocationofthethermistor.Usethechart
onnextpagetotestthethermistorforproper
resistanceatthetemperatureyouaremaking
yourtestat.
Damper Test–Displayshowsd1forsteppertest
active,ord0forsteppertestidle.
Mixing Valve Test
Duetothelongpulldowntimeof20-30minutes
onthePTD,aquicktesttodeterminemixingvalve
functionislistedbelow.
1.  SetthePTDto28°F.
2.  HoldtheFFdoorsensorinthe“closed”
position.
3.  Waitatleast60seconds.
4.  RemovethePTDshelfdisconnectingitswire
harness.
5.  LiftthePTDAirHandleroffofthelinerwall
(do not unplug the Air Handler).
6.  RefeasetheFFdoorsensor(fromstep2)
whilelookingintotheroundsideholeofthe
PTDAirHandler.
Ifthemixingvalveisoperatingcorrectly,thevalve
willrotatefromthefullopenpositiontotheclosed
position.
Report NTC Temperature Test(Actuate)–
Displayshowsb1forchambersensor
testandb2forfreezerairsensortest.The
UIdisplaywillshow—°Funtilthemain
boardrespondswiththeassociatedsensor
temperaturereading.
NOTE
Drawermustbeinplaceforthistest.
Display Test–DisplayshowsL0fordisplaytest.
Thedisplaytestwillcyclethroughallthe
displaysegmentswithaminimalontimefor
eachsegment.
Off Mode
Activation–PressandholdON/OFFkeyuntilthe
displayshows“OFF”.
Deactivation–PressandholdON/OFFkey
untilthedisplayindicatestemperatureand
categorysetting.
