• Avoidcontactwithanymovingpartsofthe

• Removeallstaplesfromthecartonto
avoidcutinjuries.Staplescanalsodamage
nishesiftheycomeincontactwithother
appliancesorfurniture.
Child Safety
PackingMaterials:
• Packingcartonscoveredwithrugs,
bedspreads,plasticsheetsorstretchwrap
maybecomeairtightchambersandcan
quicklycausesuffocation.
• Destroyorrecycletheproduct’scarton,
plasticbags,andanyotherexteriorwrapping
materialimmediatelyaftertherefrigeratoris
unpacked.Childrenshouldneverplaywith
theseitems.
Child Entrapment And Suffocation:
• Theseproblemsarenotlimitedtothepast.
Whetherjunked,abandonedortemporarily
stored(evenforafewhours),unattended
refrigeratorsandfreezersaredangerous.

Proper Disposal Of
Refrigerators/Freezers
Beforeyouthrowawayyour
oldrefrigerator/freezer:
• Removethedoors.
• Leavetheshelvesin
placesochildrenmay
noteasilyclimbinside.
• Haverefrigerantremovedbyaqualied
servicetechnician.
• The refrigerator must be plugged into
its own dedicated 115 Volt, 60 Hz., AC-
only electric outlet.Thepowercordofthe
applianceisequippedwithathree-prong
groundingplugforyourprotectionagainst
electricalshockhazards.Itmustbeplugged
directlyintoaproperlygroundedthree-
prongreceptacle.Thereceptaclemustbe
installedinaccordancewithlocalcodesand
ordinances.Consultaqualiedelectrician.
Do not use an extension cord or adapter
plug.
• Ifthepowercordisdamaged,itshould
bereplacedbythemanufacturer,service
technicianoraqualiedpersontoprevent
anyrisk.
• Neverunplugtherefrigeratorbypullingon
thepowercord.Alwaysgriptheplugrmly,
andpullstraightoutfromthereceptacleto
preventdamagingthepowercord.
• Unplugtherefrigeratorbeforecleaning
andbeforereplacingalightbulbtoavoid
electricalshock.
• Performancemaybeaffectedifthevoltage
variesby10%ormore.Operatingthe
refrigeratorwithinsufcientpowercan
damagethecompressor.Suchdamageisnot
coveredunderyourwarranty.
• Donotplugthe
unitintoanoutlet
controlledbya
wallswitchorpull
cordtopreventthe
refrigeratorfrom
beingturnedoff
accidentally.
• Avoidconnecting
refrigeratortoa
GroundFaultInterrupter(GFI)circuit.
