repairing,ordisposingofrefrigerantequipment.
Ahottuberepairkitisusedtobypassaleaking
PerimeterHotTube(Yoder-Loop).ThePerimeter
HotTubemustbebypassedinthesealed
refrigerationsystemandalowwattageheaterwire
installedinsidethetube.Thisheaterwillprevent
condensationfromformingontheexteriorfront
edgeofthecabinet.

Bypassing Perimeter Hot Tube - Step 1
1. Disconnectservicecordfrompowersupply.
2. Recoverrefrigerantfromsystem.
3. Removelter-drier.
4. Usingtubingcutter,cutandde-burrtubing
fromperimeterhottubeatpointsshownin
Figure8
5. Installcopperbypasstubeandreplacement
lter-dryerasshowninFgure9.Use45%
silversolderforallconnections.
6. Drillorpiercethreeholesincabinettohold
clamps.Secureby-passtubejustbelow
cabinetedgewiththreeclampsandscrews
provided.

AttachVacuumPumpandGaugeSettooneend
ofPerimeterHotTubewithanAdapterandPlastic
Sleeve.Seeillustrationonnextpage.
2. CutoffwaxedendofFiberglassbraidthatis
extendedpastendofheaterwireandmake
knotinendjustalittlesmallerthaninside
diameterofhottube.
3. Insertknotonendofbraidintoopenendof
PerimeterHotTube.
4. Withbraidinserted,startVacuumPumpand
placeyourthumboverendoftube.When
goodvacuumisobtained,releaseyour
thumbandbegintofeedbraidintoHottube.
Continuethisprocessuntilstringreaches
PlasticSleeve.
5. DisconnectPlasticSleeve.
6. Pullbraidoutwhilepushingequalamount
ofbraidedheaterintotubeatotherenduntil
heaterwireinsidebraidappears.
