9.2.1Alternatemethodforcalculatingthemeterfactorforvolume
flow
Thealternatemethodforcalculatingthemeterfactorforvolumeowisusedtoavoidthedifcultiesthat
maybeassociatedwiththestandardmethod.
Thisalternatemethodisbasedonthefactthatvolumeisinverselyproportionaltodensity.Itprovides
partialcorrectionofthevolumeowmeasurementbyadjustingfortheportionofthetotaloffsetthatis
causedbythedensitymeasurementoffset.Usethismethodonlywhenavolumeowreferenceisnot
available,butadensityreferenceisavailable.
