Error Meaning Drone behavior Pilot action
V-Velocity Unstable The drone is reporting
an abnormally high
climb or descend rate
(before takeoff).
This can lead to
aggressive takeoffs, as
the drone falsely
corrects for a drop in
altitude. Hovermap will
abort takeoff if this
warning is present.
Always check that
velocity is stable prior to
arming.
This is not an easy to
deal with in confined
spaces, but switch to
drone control mode to
enable direct control.
Onboard SDK
Activation Failed
Onboard activation has
failed. This means that
Hovermap is no longer
talking to the drone.

Hovermap

information on how to
activate the SDK.
Dust Failsafe
Triggered
You will receive this is
the notification when
the Heavy Dust
Backtrack failsafe is
triggered.
Refer to the Heavy Dust
Backtrack Failsafe
section for more
information.
Allow the drone to
return home.
Alternatively, you can
abort the failsafe as
outlined in the Heavy
Dust Backtrack Failsafe
section.
Payload Can’t Read
Aircraft Battery
Hovermap can’t read
the drone battery. This
is often the first error
that is detected when
communications with
the drone can’t be
established. After this,
further issues with
drone communications
are no longer tested,
and this is the only
