Move the tip of the propeller to check the motor for excessive bearing clearance. This clearance
should not be more than 4 mm. If it does exceed 4 mm, contact Customer Success

.
Spin the motor to see and hear if there is anything preventing it from moving freely. If in doubt,
please contact Customer Success

.
Check the connectors of the motors regularly for damage. If they appear burnt, try to clear them.
You can do this by using a piece of sandpaper (1 mm thick) on the connectors to polish the
metal.
It is recommended that you perform this check every time the airframe is disassembled, or at
least every 50 flight hours.
5.2.4.2 Motor cleaning
It is important that you keep the motor clean from dust and water.
Remove dust using a compressed air gun. Point this at the core of the motor, with a distance of
15 cm.
Water cannot access the motor core in normal operation, or in rainy environments. If water does
get into the motor, do not use an air gun, as you might allow water into the bearings. Instead, let
the motor dry in a warm place (15°C to 30°C). The motor housing is saltwater proof.
5.2.4.3 Motor bearing replacement
Replace motor bearings after 160 hours of use.Contact Customer Success

to organize bearing
replacement.
If you are flying in wet conditions on a regular basis, replace the bearings every 80 flight hours
(instead of every 160 hours).
5.2.4.4 Motor replacement

If a motor fails or doesn’t function properly for any reason, please discontinue any flight activities
and contact Customer Success
