3.2.4.2 Set the scan name
Press the Scan Name field to enter the scan name. If the name is unchanged, the field background will
be white. If information has been entered but not yet saved, the background will turn orange. Press Set
to save the scan name. The background will turn green to indicate that it has been saved.
3.2.4.3 Set the system time
Occasionally, Hovermap’s internal system time may differ from that of the connected device. If this
occurs, the system time bar will turn orange and a Set button will appear. The system will prompt you
to set the system time so that it is the same as that of the connected device. Once set, the time bar will
return to green.
3.2.4.4 Update firmware
The firmware is the software that is loaded to Hovermap’s internal computer. It controls all aspects of
Hovermap, including SLAM perception, advanced autonomy navigation and collision avoidance,
autonomy mode entitlement, and solid-state drive file management. Hovermap’s firmware is regularly
updated for improvements, optimizations, and new features and capabilities.
The Web UI allows you to upgrade the firmware on the Hovermap. Press Upgrade Firmware to access
the update page. From here, you can update the operating system for Hovermap, change autonomy
entitlement, and upload/update colorization calibration files. Refer to the Hovermap Firmware Update

3.2.4.5 Individual file download
With the Web UI, you can download individual BAG and Hovermap BIN files to the connected device.
This is important in case of an incident where physical access to Hovermap is not possible. For
example, if the system has crashed into the bottom of a stope or vent rise. It is also handy if Customer

asks you to supply these file types for investigation.
To download these files, press the three-dot icon next to the scan name, then select Files from the pop-
up menu. A list of files appears, with hyperlinks provided to download them to the connected device.
The Web UI will show the location of the downloaded file.
Scans tab
The Scans tab provides a number of helpful functions for individual scan file management. To access
these functions, press the three-dot icon next to the scan name.
