Always set the charger to the amp charge rate listed on battery labels.
Never charge batteries at a rate greater than 1C, unless a different C-rate is specified by the
manufacturer, or the rate is preset as part of a specific battery and charger combination. Do not
alter the charge rate once charging has begun.
Never overcharge batteries beyond the capacity listed on the label.
Never overcharge batteries over their rated maximal voltage (4.2 V/cell for LiPo).
When charging two or more battery packs in series, please set your charger accordingly.
Never leave a battery unattended while it is charging.
It is recommended that you use a LiPo safe bag to ensure safe charging. Stop charging when the
battery is fully charged. Do not continue to charge for a long time after the battery is fully
charged.
5.3.3.3 Discharging
Never discharge batteries at an amperage rate higher than that specified on thelabel.
Never allow thetemperature of batteries to exceed 140°F (0°C) during discharge.
Never discharge batteries to a voltage below that rated by the manufacturer when measured
under load (connected to the vehicle or a charger capable of discharge). Batteries discharged to a
voltage lower than the lowest approved voltage may be damaged, resulting in loss of
performance or potential fire when they are charged.
Never discharge the battery to a level below 3 V per cell under load. For Tattuseries batteries,
the recommended cutoff voltage is 3.5 V per cell.
Never leave the battery unattended during the discharging process.
In case of emergency, discontinue the process immediately. Disconnect the battery, place it in a
safe area, and observe it for approximately one hour. This may cause the battery to leak, and the
reaction with air may cause the chemicals to ignite, resulting in a fire. The area should be outside
and away from any combustible materials. A battery can still ignite even after one hour.
5.3.4 Battery replacement
It is recommended that you replace any flight battery after 150 charge cycles, or after 2 years.
If during a battery check the battery does not seem to function properly, do not use it anymore.
The battery will need to be replaced.
Dispose of your battery in an appropriate manner.
