Chapter 3: Using the Printer
This chapter describes how to perform the basic tasks required to
operate the printer.
Printer Overview
The CR825 and CE875 Instant Issuance System is used with other equipment and software to
create a card personalization system. The system produces cards for a specific purpose, and the
cards must meet defined requirements.
Equipment
The system can include:
 A PC with Datacard® CardWizard® issuance software.
The CR825 and CE875 systems work with CardWizard issuance software, which processes the
card data and obtains the needed authorization from the financial system that manages
customer accounts. CardWizard software links to the interface used at the issuance sites.
 Capture devices (optional), such as a signature capture pad or PIN pad.
 The printer with supplies and a facility power source.
 A network data connection between the printer and PC.
