80 Troubleshooting
222: Firmware version mismatch
The printer and attached component firmware versions are not compatible. The system cannot
process cards until the firmware has been updated.
Update both the printer and component to the latest firmware versions.
228: C1 printhead error
The printer has encountered a critical error. The card will be canceled.
1. Press the printer P
OWER button to power off the system.
2. Request service. The system must remain powered off.
229: C2 heat sensor error
The C2 retransfer heat sensor has encountered a critical error. The card will be canceled.
1. Press the printer P
OWER button to power off the system.
2. Request service. The system must remain powered off.
230: C2 heater error
The C2 retransfer heater has encountered a critical error. The card will be canceled.
1. Press the printer POWER button to power off the system.
2. Request service. The system must remain powered off.
231: C2 heated roller motion error
The C2 retransfer heated roller has encountered a critical error. The card will be canceled.
1. Press the printer P
OWER button to power off the system.
2. Request service. The system must remain powered off.
232: Retransfer debow error
The printer has encountered an error in the retransfer debow area. The card will be canceled.
1. Press the U
SER button to move the card into the reject tray and clear the error.
2. If the error occurs again, open the printer access door and look for a card in the debow area.
3. Turn the K1 manual advance knob to move the card out of the printer.
4. If the problem continues to occur, request service.
