Threading cycle
Thread pitch (P).
The thread pitch may be set along the taper of the thread or along its associated axis. In either case,
parameter "P" is be used, but with a different sign.
• "P" with a positive sign to program the pitch is programmed along the inclination of the thread.
• "P" with a negative sign to program the pitch along the associated axis.
To define the pitch, place the cursor on this data, key in the desired value and press [ENTER].
Thread type
Increment/decrement of thread pitch
P)
It defines the thread pitch increment or decrement per spindle revolution.
Distance to end of thread (
).
This parameter indicates at what distance from the end of the thread the tool starts exiting it. In this
withdrawal movement threading is continued. Place the cursor over this data, key in the desired value
and press [ENTER].
• If programmed with a positive value, the tool exits the thread without going through the final point
(Xf, Zf).
• If programmed with a negative value, the tool exits the thread going through the final point (Xf, Zf).
• If not programmed, a value of 0 is assumed (blind thread).
The third set of gains and accelerations for the axes and the spindle may be used to improve
the adjustment and the machining of the exit from blind threads. If the thread exit is a short
distance, any acceleration set may be used or even remove the acceleration without getting the
error "insufficient acceleration while threading".
We recommend to use low or no acceleration.
Safety distance.
In order to prevent collisions with the part, the CNC allows a part approach point to be set. The safety
distance indicates the position of the approach point referred to the theoretical corner.
