3.9.1 Calibration of the grooving tool
When calibrating the grooving tool, you must properly indicate the location code for the corner that
has been calibrated. Thus, the same tool may be calibrated in three different ways, as shown next:
• Location code F3. The left-hand corner of the cutter is calibrated.
• Location code F1. The right-hand corner of the cutter is calibrated.
• Location code F2. The CNC only calibrates along the X axis and it assumes the center of the
cutter as the calibrated point.
