Drilling and tapping cycles
3.10 Drilling and tapping cycles
• Drilling cycle.
• Multiple drilling cycle.
• Tapping cycle.
• Multiple threading cycle.
• Multiple slot milling cycle.
The drilling and tapping cycles are always available. The multiple drilling, multiple threading and
multiple slot milling cycles are available when the machine has a live tool and spindle orientation.
Level 1. Drilling cycle.
The following data must be defined:
• Coordinates of the drilling point.
• The total depth.
• The dwell at the bottom.
Level 2. Tapping cycle.
The following data must be defined:
• Z coordinate of the tapping point.
• The total depth.
• The dwell at the bottom.
This key accesses the drilling and tapping cycles.
There may be up to 5 cycles available depending on the type of machine and how the
CNC machine parameters have been set:
