Grooving cycle
Type of machining for the finishing pass.
Groove repetition.
The "number of grooves" and "offset" data may be used to repeat a groove several times along the
Z axis in cylindrical grooving or along the X axis in face grooving.
If the initial groove is tapered, Xi different from Xf, that taper is maintained for the rest of the grooves.
If the number of grooves is defined with a value of 0 or 1, it only makes one groove.
Intermediate diameter (
r) and feedrate (Fr).
For the cut-off operation, you must define an intermediate diameter where to start machining at low
feedrate (Fr) until the end of the cut-off operation. To define these data, key in the desired value and
press [ENTER].
This data must be defined when grooving with incline walls. To select the type of
machining, place the cursor over this icon and press the two-color key.
