Troubleshooting
This section contains general guidelines for troubleshooting the Sabre router. For service,
contact your Gerber distributor or the Gerber Router Technical Support Group at 860-528-1028.
SYMPTOM DIAGNOSTICS CAUSES SOLUTIONS
~Check Power Cord
Connection.
~Power Cord Disconnected /
Damaged.
~Reconnect Power Cord. Repair/replace as
required.
SYSTEM
WILL NOT
POWER UP
~No 230VAC (+/- 10%)
Single Phase, 30A available
at Outlet for Sabre Electrical
Tower.
~Breaker(s) in Sevice Panel
tripped/defective.
~Reset breaker(s) in Service panel -
repair/replace as required.
~Wiring problem to or in the
outlet supplying A/C to the
Electrical Tower.
~Check supply outlet and receptacle wiring -
repair/replace as required.
~Correct A/C is available to
Sabre Electrical Tower
Circuit Breaker trips
immediately at power-up.
~Emergency Stop Switch
Circuit active.
~Check for wiring/connector problem through
the circuitry for the three Emergency Stop
Switches.
~Problem with Transzorb in
Electrical Tower Power Input
Panel.
~Check Transzorb on TB3 of Power Input
Panel. Transzorb is attached between lugs 3
& 7 on the "A" side of TB3. NOTE: System
can be operated with Transzorb disconnected
for test purposes.
~Problem with Electrical
Tower Circuit Breaker
Assembly.
~Check Electrical Tower Circuit Breaker
Assembly. Replace as necessary.
~No A/C into the LF1 Line
Filter in Electrical Tower
Power Input Panel
~Problem with A/C feed wires
to LF1. Problem with fuse F2.
~Check LF1 input wiring from TB3-4B and
TB3-8B. Repair/replace as required. Check
F2 fuse - replace as required with fuse of
same rating.
~No A/C from the LF1 Line
Filter in Electrical Tower
Power Input Panel to TB1
on the Power Supply.
~Problem with A/C feed wires
between LF1 and TB1 of
Power Supply. Problem with
LF1 Line Filter.
~Repair/replace A/C feed wires between LF1
and TB1 of Power Supply. Replace LF1 Line
Filter.
~Correct A/C is available at
TB1 on the Power Supply.
~Problem with A/C feed wires
between TB1 and Power
Supply.
~Repair/replace A/C feed wires between TB1
and Power Supply.
~Problem with dc output of
Power Supply
~Test for +5 volts dc output at connection J1-
1 of Power Supply regulator Board. Replace
Power Supply if no +5 volts dc present.
