1. Check the EGR valve for damage due to foreign substances.
2. Check if there is soot obstructing the exhaust gas passageway
inlet or outlet.

Inspect the EGR valve
Was any failure found?
Remove foreign substances and clean the
valve.
Replace the EGR valve if it is damaged.
Perform "After-inspection work" of INFOR-
MATION section.
Go to step 7.
