ENGINE (J05E)/TROUBLESHOOTING2–798
INSPECTION PROCEDURE: P14B7 and P14B8
1. Set the starter key to the "LOCK" position.
2. Connect the vehicle to HINO DX Ⅱ .
3. Set the starter key to the "ON" position.
4. Select [Engine] and check if any DTC other than DTC (P14B7 or
P14B8) has been detected.
1. Check the connection of the EGR valve connector (looseness and
poor contact).

Check the DTC detected 1 (Engine ECU)
Has a DTC other than DTC (P14B7 or P14B8) been detected?
Go to the diagnostic procedure of a related
DTC.
Go to step 2.

Inspect the EGR valve connector
Was any failure found?
Connect securely, repair if needed.
Perform "After-inspection work" of INFOR-
MATION section.
Go to step 3.
