NON-GYNECOLOGIC SAMPLE PREPARATION
3. Pour off supernatant and vortex to
resuspend cell pellet. (page 5.7)
4. If the sample contains blood or non-
cellular debris:
Mix a solution of 9 parts CytoLyt Solution to
1 part Glacial acetic acid.
Add 30 mL of this solution to the sample
centrifuge tube.
If the sample contains protein:
Add 30 mL of saline to the sample centrifuge
tube.
