Fixative Bath Status
The baths compartment has room for eight fixative baths of 20 slides each. Two baths are needed for
each complete vial tray of 40 samples. The processor continuously monitors the status of each bath
position. The different status conditions are shown in Figure 6-12. The processor also provides details
about the slides in a selected bath.
Slide count - The processor keeps track of the quantity of slides deposited in the slide rack in the
selected bath.
First Slide ID - The ID of the first slide in the slide rack for the selected bath is displayed.
Vial Tray Info - The processor keeps track of which vial tray provided the samples for the slides in the
selected bath. The vial tray number is followed by the approximate position in the that tray. The
slides in a bath either come from slots 1–20 in a vial tray or from slots 21–40.
When baths are being
moved, the baths door
locks while the carousel
rotates.
The door unlocks when
movement has
stopped.
The user can access
the bath at the door.
