USER INTERFACE
Insert characters
The ThinPrep 5000 processor with Autoloader can be configured to etch slide IDs that are the vial IDs
with certain characters added at the beginning of the slide ID.
1. Touch the
Insert characters button.
2. Touch the box next to “Starting characters” to access the keypad.
3. Use the keypad to enter the character or characters that are always at the start of the slide ID.
4. Press
Done to close the keypad.
5. Press
Save Changes to save the starting or inserted characters’ information.
Append characters
The ThinPrep 5000 processor with Autoloader can be configured to etch slide IDs that are the vial IDs
with certain characters added at the end of the slide ID.
1. Touch the
Append characters button.
2. Touch the box next to “Ending characters” to access the keypad.
3. Use the keypad to enter the character or characters that are always at the end of the slide ID.
4. Press
Done to close the keypad.
5. Press
Save Changes to save the ending or appended characters’ information.
