When the order is available for download, you receive an email that contains an activation
number. You can then retrieve the order by using the Perform Model Conversion task from the
SE, or through SOO to the SE from an HMC. To retrieve the order, follow these steps:
1. In the Perform Model Conversion window, select Permanent upgrades to start the
process, as shown in Figure 8-10.

2. The window provides several possible options. If you select the Retrieve and apply
option, you are prompted to enter the order activation number to start the permanent
upgrade, as shown in Figure 8-11.

8.5 On/Off Capacity on Demand
On/Off CoD enables you to temporarily enable PUs and unassigned IFLs that are available
within the current model, or to change capacity settings for CPs to help meet your peak
workload requirements.
