2.2.4 CPC drawer power
Each CPC drawer gets its power from two distributed converter assemblies (DCAs) in the
CPC drawer (see Figure 2-11). The DCAs provide the power for the CPC drawer. Loss of one
DCA leaves enough power to satisfy CPC drawer power requirements. The DCAs can be
concurrently maintained, and are accessed from the rear of the frame. During a blower failure,
the adjacent blower increases speed to satisfy cooling requirements until the failed blower is
replaced.

2.3 Single chip modules
The SCM is a multi-layer metal substrate module that holds either one PU chip or a SC chip.
Its size is 678.76 mm
2
(28.4 mm x 23.9 mm). Each node of a CPC drawer has three SCMs,
two PU SCMs, and one SC SCM. The Model N20 CPC drawer has six SCMs, four PU SCMs,
and two SC SCMs, with more than 20 billion transistors in total.
