Starting the Machine
position the tracks should be operated for approximately for ten minutes alternating the direction at
every thirty seconds.
Immobiliser
(if installed)
If your machine has an immobiliser system installed, then your JCB dealer should enable the system as part
of the standard machine Installation. If you prefer that the system is not enabled, then you must tell your JCB
dealer. Your JCB dealer can enable the system at a later date. Machines with immobilisers installed should
always be parked as per the instructions in the operators manual.
Introduction
Before attempting to disarm the immobiliser check that the machine is ready to start and that you have your
four digit PIN (Product Identification Number) code available.
If you make an error entering your PIN code and you realise this before pressing the 'tick' button on the
membrane switch panel then pressing the 'back' button on the membrane switch panel, cancels the inputs and
allows you to re-commence. Refer to: General (Page 18).
The PIN code will have to be entered every time that the ignition is switched off for longer than two minutes.
If the PIN code is incorrectly entered five times the immobiliser will lock for 15min. In this event it is
recommended that you contact the machine owner for confirmation of the PIN code.
To Disarm the Immobiliser to Allow the Machine to be Used
1. Put the ignition key in the ignition switch. Turn the ignition key to position 'I'.
2. Enter your four digit PIN code using the switch panel buttons.
3. When the first PIN code number is pressed, the 'back' button will illuminate on membrane switch panel.
4. When the last PIN code number is pressed, the 'tick' button will illuminate on membrane switch panel to
confirm the entry of four numbers.

5. Push the 'tick’ button. If the PIN code is correct, the lock symbol will disappear from the instrument cluster,
and the machine will be able to be start.
