Remove PCIe riser 1 installed with serial port
Procedure
Step 1. Prepare your server.
a. Remove the top cover. See “Remove the top cover” on page 225.
b. Disconnect cables that are connected to the PCIe riser and the PCIe adapter.
Step 2. If PCIe riser 2 is installed, remove it from chassis. See “Remove a PCIe riser without serial port” on
page 184.
Step 3. Remove the PCIe riser 1 installed with serial port.
a.
Disconnect serial port cable from system board.
b.
Unfasten the thumbscrew on the PCIe riser.
c.
Lift the PCIe riser out of the chassis.
