Shell
In computing, a shell is a piece of software that provides an
interface for users. Command-line shells provide a command-line
interface (CLI) to the operating system. The primary purpose of
the shell is to invoke or "launch" another program; however, shells
frequently have additional capabilities such as viewing the
contents of directories.
SMB
Server Message Block (SMB) is an application-level network
protocol mainly applied to shared access to files, printers, serial
ports. Since Samba is widely used it has been improved significantly
and a successor has been released:

Attention
At least one folder or device has to be shared to have
access to the PC! The VMware folder /home/mvbc/Public/ is
shared by default.
Via device name or IP address you can access the VMware.
1. Start e.g. Konqueror or Explorer.
2. Enter in the address line (e.g.):
smb://192.168.19.123 or smb://mvBlueCOUGAR-SDK (Linux)
//192.168.19.123 or \\mvBlueCOUGAR-SDK (Windows)
3. Enter user: mvbc
4. Enter password: mvbc
5. All available folders and devices will be shown.
