Safety Signs - Maintain
Safety signs and decals located on your machine contain important and useful information that will help you
operate your equipment safely and correctly. Refer to the Parts Manual for locations.
To assure that all safety signs and decals remain
in place and in good condition, follow these instructions:
• Keep all safety signs clean. Use soap and water - not mineral spirits, abrasive cleaners, or other similar
clea
ners that will damage the sign.
• Replace any damaged or missing saf
ety signs. When attaching signs, the temperature of the mounting
surface must be at least 40°F (5°C). The mounting surface must be clean and dry.
• When replacing a machine component with a safety
sign attached, replace the safety sign also.
Replacement signs can be purchased
from your Vermeer dealer.
Emergency Stop Switch - Check
Press red Emergency Stop Switch while engine is operating. Engine must stop.
With Emergency St
op Switch pressed, try starting engine. Engine must not start.
