30-4 Transporting the Machine VX30/VX50 Gen3/ECO50 Vacuum Excavators
PREPARE MACHINE FOR TRANSPORT
Before transporting the machine:
• Ensure all machine components and to
oling are stored properly. Secure all tools and accessories carried on
the vehicle.
• Ensure Strong Arm or boom is locked in transport
position. Refer to “Strong Arm (Option) - Store for
Transport,” page
30-7, or “Boom (Option) - Store for Transport,” page 30-6.
• If equipped, ensure hot box is turned off.
• Follow Shutdown Procedure, pag
e 23-1, and relieve water system pressure.
• Close all valves and doors. Ensure spoil
tank door is fully closed and latched.
• Ensure tires and rims are in good condition,
and tires are inflated properly.
• Check condition and operation of trailer
lights and brakes.
• Follow remaining procedures in this section
for safely attaching to tow vehicle.
DANGER: ELECTROCUTION HAZARD. Death or serious injury will result if boom
approaches or touches overhead electrical power lines.
Keep boom away from overhead utilities. Us
e caution when operating boom.
