17-5. Paper Size Detection
The 1st Drawer has a Lever on its bottom that presses all or some of the
three Paper Size Detecting Switches (S61, S62, and S63) according to the
paper size. The copier will know the current paper size by the combination in
which these switches are turned ON and OFF.
The Lever is connected to the Trailing Edge Stop of the Drawer, meaning
that only the length of the paper is detected. Due to this, only the following
paper sizes can be detected. Any other size is replaced by the nearest one
detectable.
