4 AUXILIARY AND APPLIED FUNCTIONS
4.9 File Transmission Via FTP Server
Writing example
Getting parameters via the FTP server function
Login from an FTP client to a module that can be accessed with the FTP server function.
Specify the access target of the module that can be accessed with the FTP server function in the Motion CPU.
Writing parameters of axis 1 from the FTP client
Depending on the module with FTP server function, the overwriting of files by the "put" command may be
restricted. In this case, transmit the new file after deleting the Motion CPU file first.
When the Multiple CPU system power supply is shut-off or reset while writing files, the temporary file for
transmitting from the module with FTP server function remains. In this case, delete the temporary file from
the module with FTP server function by using the file delete command. Refer to the following for details of
temporary files.
MELSEC iQ-R Ethernet User’s Manual (Application)
Files with file passwords set cannot be accessed without password authentication.
With the exception of some files, transmitted parameter files are loaded when the Multiple CPU system
power supply is turned ON. Online change is not supported, therefore when a parameter file is changed,
turn ON the Multiple CPU power supply again, or reset.
When a file is accessed it is recorded in the event history.
Example Details Remarks
quote cpuchg no2 Specify Motion CPU No.2 Each command can be sent to the Motion CPU after
successfully accessing the Motion CPU.
quote passwd-rd ABCD Read password (example: ABCD) is
enabled in "axpara01.csv", therefore
password is authenticated.
When password setting of a module with FTP server
function is completed, files with Motion CPU read
password enabled can be accessed.
get 4:\$MMTPRJ$\motpara\axpara01.csv Read the parameters of axis 1 from the
Motion CPU to the FTP client.
Set the name of the file to get and the path.
After getting the file, it is transmitted from the Motion
CPU to a local directory on the FTP client, and the file
is generated in the FTP client.
Example Details Remarks
quote passwd-wr EFGH Write password (example: EFGH) is
enabled in "axpara01.csv", therefore
password is authenticated.
When password setting of a module with FTP server
function is completed, files with Motion CPU write
password enabled can be written to.
