3.18.1 RS232 Interface Description
The T200 provides an RS232 compatible communications interface on J4 (9-Sub-D Female (Socket) on the T200 side).
The RS232 port provides a one to one communication mechanism only.
3.18.1.1 Wiring an RS232 Connection
The RS232 port of the drive is configured as a null modem. The connector pins on the Serial Port 9-way D-Type
connector on the front-panel of the servo-drive are as follows:-.

* The +5V line is not used when connecting to a P.C. However it can be used to power a Hand Held Terminal
Device.
The RS232 Cable shield should be connected to the metal body of the D-Type connector.
NOTE:- The +5V line on J4 is rated to operate at 100mA. If the current exceeds
this amount then a resetable fuse will open. When the excessive current drain is
removed, then the +5V line will be able to source current again.
