WhensystemsarestagedbytheMotorolaCenterforCustomerSolutionIntegration(CCSI),site-specicsystem
documentationiscreatedtodocumenthowthesystemwasstaged.TheFieldEngineerassignedtothesystemcreates
allofthesite-specicinformationincludingthefollowing:
•Sitedesigndrawingsshowingthelocationofracks,cabinets,cabletrays,andothercomponents
•Rackdrawingsshowingthelocationoftheequipmentineachrack
•Cablematrixinatableformatthatshowseachcableanditsconnections
•Interconnectwiringdiagramstoshowthecableconnectionsbetweendevices
•Pre-programmedparametersofeachsitecomponent
•Templatesusedtoprogrameachdevice
•Allrmwareandsoftwarerevisionsofeachsitecomponent
•Testdatafromeachdevicethatrequiresoperationalverication
•Optimizationrequirementsandsettingsofeachelectricalpath
•AcceptanceTestPlanforthesitecomponents
Thissite-specicinformationmustbemaintainedtoreectthecurrentsitecongurationand
layoutforthesystem.
3.4GTR8000BaseRadioHardwareInstallation
ThefollowingisinformationspecictoGTR8000BaseRadios.
3.4.1PlacementandSpacing
Cabinetandracksallowequipmenttobeaddedtoasite.Alwaysconsiderroomforexpansionwhensettingupasite.
Cabinetsorracksmybeinstalledadjacenttoeachotherortootherequipment.However,allcabinetsandracks
musthavesufcientoorspacetopermitaccessforinstallationandservice.
Recommendedclearanceforserviceandinstallationisatleast2feetinthefrontandrear.
Frontaccess:
•Atleast2feetooraccessinfrontofthecabinetorrack.
Sideandrearaccess:
•Atleast2feetooraccessattherearofthecabinetorrack,or
•Atleast2feetaccessonatleastonesideofthecabinetorrack,plus6inchesattherearofthecabinetorrack.
Tomaintainthisclearance,thefollowingisrecommended:
•Iftherewillbelessthan2feetrearaccess,donotinstallmorethan2cabinetsorrackssidebyside,and
allowatleast2feetaccessonatleastonesideofeachcabinetorrack.
•Forthecabinetversion,iftherewillbelessthan2feetrearaccess,donotinstalltheoptionalreardooron
thecabinet.
