applications.ThetermbaseradioorBRisusedtodenotethetransceiverandassociatedmodules.Asviewedin
theseinstances,onebaseradioisastandaloneconguration.
AGTR8000BaseRadioconsistsofatransceivermodule,powerampliermodule,fanmoduleandpower
supply.Thetransceivermoduleincludesthefunctionalityfortheexciter,receiver,andstationcontrolwithan
optionaltransceiveroptioncard.Thebaseradiosoftware,conguration,andnetworkmanagement,aswellas
inbound/outboundtrafchandling,areperformedthroughthetransceivermodule.On-boardserialandEthernet
serviceportsarelocatedonthismoduleforlocalservicingthroughCSS.Thepowerampliermoduleamplies
thelow-levelmodulatedRFsignalfromthetransceivermoduleanddeliverstheampliedsignalonthepathto
thetransmitantenna.Thepowersupplymodulesupportsthetransceiverandpowerampliermodules.Radio
FrequencyDistributionSystem(RFDS)providestheinterfacebetweenthetransceiversandthesiteantennas
andbetweenthepoweramplierandthesiteantennas.
