ProcedureSteps
1Wearanelectrostaticdischarge(ESD)strapandconnectitscabletoaveriedgoodground.Thisstrapmustbe
wornthroughoutthisproceduretopreventESDdamagetoanycomponents.
2Removethepreselectorfromthebaseradio,asfollows:
a.RemovethetwoscrewswhichsecurethepreselectortotheangeofthebaseradiousingT20bit.
b.LabelanddisconnecttheleftandrightQMAcablesfromthefrontofthepreselector.
3Installthepreselectortothebaseradio,asfollows:
a.Securethesliderailtothebaseradioangeusingthetwoscrewswhichwerepreviouslyremoved.
b.ReconnecttheleftandrightQMAcablestothepreselector.
c.Tunethepreselector.See5.8TuningaPreselector,page5-4.
4Verifythatthesystemisoperatingproperlyusingfaultmanagementsoftware,including:
•UniedEventManager.
•TransmitterMeteringScreeninConguration/ServiceSoftware(CSS).
