ProcedureSteps
1Carefullymarkthemountingholeswithapencil,asindicatedontheappropriatecabinetorrackfootprint.
2Drillthemarkedmountingholestotheappropriatedepthofthemountinghardwarewithahammerdrillandbit.
3Insertananchorintothedrilledhole.Ifnecessary,taptheanchorintoplaceusingahammer.
4Forcabinets,removethefourscrewssecuringthebottomkickpaneltothefrontandbackofthecabinet.
Removethekickpanelandsetasideduringinstallation.
5Carefullymovethecabinetorrackintothepositionindicatedbytheholesintheoor.
Equipmentcabinetsandracksareheavyandmaytip.Useextremecautionwhenmoving.Liftfrom
topeyenutswithappropriateapparatusorsecurethecabinetorrackfromtippingifliftingfrom
bottom.Failuretodosocouldresultindeathorseriousinjuryorequipmentdamage.
6Adjustandlevelthecabinetorrackasnecessarytopositionthecabinetmountingholeswiththepre-drilled
holes.
7Securethecabinetorracktothesiteoorwiththelocallyprocuredmountinghardware.
Ifthecabinetorrackistobesecuredtoaconcreteoor,1/2-inchgrade8boltswithanchorsare
recommended.
3.3.6GeneralBondingandGroundingRequirements
Cabinetsandracksincludearackgroundingbar(RGB)withthecapacitytoterminatenumerousgroundwires.
Equipmentaddedtothecabinetorrackshouldbeattachedtothegroundbarusingsolidorstranded6AWG
copperwire.
TheRGBusesdual-holelugstoterminategroundwires.Theminimumnumberofdual-holeattachmentsissystem
dependentandisspeciedbythecustomer.Thisbarprovideselectricalcontinuitybetweenallbondsandground
wirewithacurrentcarryingcapacityequaltoorexceedingthatofa6AWGcopperwire.
