oneortwopersonscanliftasystemcomponentwhenitmustberemovedandreplacedinitsrack.
3.2.3EquipmentRacks
Equipmentracksshouldonlybeliftedwithouttheuseofliftingequipmentwhensufcientpersonnelareavailableto
ensurethatregulationscoveringhealthandsafetyarenotbreached.Motorolarecommendstheuseofanappropriate
poweredmechanicalliftingapparatusformovingandliftingtheequipmentracks.Inadditiontothesepoints,refer
toandcomplywithanylocalregulationsthatgoverntheuseofliftingequipment.
Crushhazardcouldresultindeath,personalinjury,orequipmentdamage.Equipmentrackscan
weighupto360kg(800lb.).Followtheinstructionsbelowforproperliftingprocedures.
3.2.3.1LiftingEquipmentRacksHorizontally
Insomecases,equipmentracksareshippedinthehorizontalposition.Usetheappropriateliftingapparatustolift
theracksupright.Complywithallapplicablehealthandsafetyregulations,andanyotherregulationsapplicableto
liftingheavyequipment.
Donotusetheeyenutsmountedonthetopoftheracktolifttherackuprightfromahorizontalposition.Theeyenuts
arenotdesignedtolifthorizontallyandcouldfailresultingindamagetotheequipmentorinjurytopersonnel.
Crushhazard:couldresultindeath,personalinjury,orequipmentdamage.

SomeequipmentrackshavefourM10eyenutsmountedinthetopoftherack.Usetheseeyenutstoliftthe
equipmentrackvertically.Beforeusingtheseeyenuts,visuallycheckthemandtherackhardwareforanydamage
thatmayhaveoccurredduringshipping.
