mustbewornthroughoutthisproceduretopreventESDdamagetoanycomponents.
2Disablethebaseradiowiththeduplexermodulebeingreplaced.
a.ConnecttothedevicemodulesEthernetserviceportusingConguration/ServiceSoftware(CSS).See4.4.4

b.SelectService→TestMeasurementScreenfromthemenu.
c.ClickChangetoServiceMode.
Stepresult:Thebaseradioisdisabled.
3SettherockerswitchonthefrontofthepowersupplytotheOFF(0)position.
4Removetheduplexerfromthebaseradio,asfollows:
a.LabelanddisconnecttheRxoutput,Txinput,antennaoutput,andgroundcablesfromtheduplexer.
b.RemovethefourscrewswhichsecuretheduplexertotherackusingT20bit.
5Installtheduplexertotherack,asfollows:
a.Securetheduplexertotherackusingthefourscrewswhichwerepreviouslyremoved.
b.ReconnecttheRxoutput,Txinput,antennaoutput,andgroundcablesfromtheduplexer.
6SettherockerswitchonthefrontofthepowersupplytotheON(1)position.
7Enablethebaseradioasfollows:
a.SelectService→T estMeasurementScreenfromthemenu.
b.ClickChangetoNormalMode.
Stepresult:Thebaseradioisenabled.

Shockhazard.TheGTR8000BaseRadiocontainsdangerousvoltageswhichcancauseelectrical
shockordamagetoequipment.Setthepowersupplyswitchesfortheaffectedequipmenttothe
Off(0)positionwhenservicingthiscomponentinthebaseradio.
