Duplexermodulesshippedwithbaseradiosaretunedatthefactory.Ifaduplexermustbereplacedintheeld,the
unitmustbeinstalledandtunedspecicallytothetransmitandreceivefrequencypairfortheparticularbaseradio.
5.9.1FieldTuningOverview
Thesetuningproceduresarevalidforchannelswithabandwidthof200kHzorless.Ifbandwidthismore
than200kHz,theduplexermustbetunedbytheservicedepot.
Theduplexermoduleiscomprisedofthreelow-pass/high-notchcavitiesandthreehigh-pass/low-notchcavities.
EachsetofthreecavitiesprovidesbandpasslteringforeitherthetransmitRFsignalorthereceiveRFsignal.In
general,theduplexermustbetunedsothatthetransmitcavitysetpassesthetransmitsignalandrejectsthereceive
signal;concurrently,thereceivecavitysetmustbetunedtopassthereceivesignalandrejectthetransmitsignal.
