4.4.3.2PairingToaComparator
Whenoperatinginavoting,multicast,orIPsimulcastconguration,baseradiosandreceiversmustbepairedto
comparatorsusingtheBR_CMPairingNumber.TheBR_CMPairingNumberforboththebaseradio/receiver
andcomparatorisusedtocreateanIPmulticastgroupthatallowsthebaseradio/receiverandcomparatortotalk
toeachother.Thebaseradio/receiverlistensformessagesthatthecomparatorsendsinordertoestablishanIP
connectionwithallthepairedbaseradios/receivers.Whenthebaseradio/receiverreceivesthemessagefromthe
comparator,itextractsthecomparator’sIPaddressfromthemessageandusesittosendreceivedvoiceanddata
backtothecomparator.
