6.1FanGrillCleaningInstructions
Ifthestationequipmentisinstalledinadustyenvironment,precautionsmustbetakentoltertheairused
forforcedcoolingofthestation.Excessivedustdrawnacrossandintothedevicecircuitmodulesbythe
coolingfanscanadverselyaffectheatdissipationandcircuitoperation.Insuchinstallation,besureto
cleanorreplaceexternallteringdevicesperiodically.
Ifdusthasaccumulatedonthefangrills,cleaningofthefangrillsisrecommended.Whencleaning,careshouldbe
takentopreventdustfrombeingpulledintothemodules.Itisrecommendedthatadampclothbeusedtowipethe
frontofthefangrills.Whenremovingthepowersupply,makesurethattheunitisturnedoffbeforeproceeding.
6.2AligningtheInternalFrequencyReference
Oscillator
Thebaseradioorreceivermustbeturnedonforatleastoneweekbeforetheinternalfrequencyreference
oscillatorisaligned.
