VDCsystem).Asvoltagedecreases(duetothestandbybatterydischarging)thecurrentwillincreaseproportionally
(sincethebaseradioappearstobeaconstantpowerload).Atthelowvoltagedisconnectpoint(42Vforanominal
48VDCsystem),thecurrentwillbeupto13A*.Ifasinglepairof2AWGwireisusedtoconnectthebatterytothe
backpanel,themaximumlengthofasingleconductorwouldbe75m(245ft).Useofsmallergaugewirewould
reducethislengthdependingontheresistanceofthewire.
