Thefanmoduleprovidesintermittentforcedaircoolingforthepoweramplierandtransceivermodules.Thefans
arecontrolledbyathermostatinthemodulesbehindthefanmodule.Thefanmodulehousestwo119mmaxial
fanswhichdeliveratotalofapproximately160cubicfeetperminuteofairow.Nominalfanspeedis4100
revolutionsperminute.Eachfanhasabuilt-inspeedsensorwhichturnsontheredFanAlarmLEDifthefan
speedforeitherfanfallsbelow30%oftheratedspeed.
IfthefanmoduleisusedforthePowerEfciencyPackage,thefollowingmustbeconguredintheCSSinorderto
takefulladvantageofthePowerEfciencyPackage:
•Optionalfanholdovertime(lengthoftimethebaseradio/receiverfanstaysONaftertransmission).
•Disablingoneofthefanswithinthefanmodule.See9.3.1HowToReplacetheFanAssembly,page9-11
