2.1.1FunctionoftheTransceiverModule
Thetransceivermoduleprovidesthecontrol,exciter,receiver,andoptionaltransceiveroptioncardforthebase
radio/receiver.

Thetransceivergeneratesthestationreference,whichtypicallyneedstobelockedontooneofmanypossible
externalsources.TheexternalsourcecanbeeitherthesitecontrollerTDMclocksortheexternalreference
operatingat5or10MHz.Aninternalfrequencyreferenceoperatingat10MHzisavailableinanoptional
transceiveroptioncard.
ThetransceiverSPIbusallowscommunicationwithitsreceiverandexcitercircuitry,aswellasthepowersupply
andpowerampliermodules.
Therearetwoorthreecircuitboardsinthetransceiver:
TransceiverControlBoard:Performsthecontrolmanagement,digitalsignalprocessing,andtransmitand
receivedataformattingforthebaseradio.
