1Wearanelectrostaticdischarge(ESD)wriststrapandconnectitscabletoaveriedgoodground.Thisstrap
mustbewornthroughoutthisproceduretopreventESDdamagetoanycomponents.
2Disablethebaseradiowiththeduplexermodulebeingreplaced,asfollows:
a.ConnecttothedevicemodulesEthernetserviceportusingConguration/ServiceSoftware(CSS).See4.4.4
ConnectingThroughanEthernetPortLink,page4-11.
b.SelectService→TestMeasurementScreenfromthemenu.
c.ClickChangetoServiceMode.
Stepresult:Thebaseradioisdisabled.
3SettherockerswitchonthefrontofthepowersupplytotheOFF(0)position.
4Removetheduplexertrayfromtherack,asfollows:
a.LabelanddisconnecttheRxoutput,Txinput,antennaoutput,andgroundcablesfromtheduplexer.
b.UsingaT30bit,removethetwoscrewswhichsecurethetraytotherack.
c.Slidethetrayoutthefrontoftherack.
5Removetheduplexerfromthetray,byremovingtheT20screwsthatattachittothetray.
6Installthenewduplexerinthetray,asfollows:
a.Placethenewduplexerinthetray,inthesamelocationandorientationasthemodulethatyouremoved.
b.Securethereplacementduplexertothetray,usingtheT20screwsyoupreviouslyremoved.
7Re-installtheduplexertrayintherack,asfollows:
a.Slidethetrayinthefrontoftherack.
b.UsingaT30bit,securethetraytotherackwiththetwoscrewsyoupreviouslyremoved.
c.ReconnecttheRxoutput,Txinput,Antennaoutput,andgroundcablestotheduplexer.
8SettherockerswitchonthefrontofthepowersupplytotheON(1)position.
9Enablethebaseradioasfollows:
a.SelectService→T estMeasurementScreenfromthemenu.
b.ClickChangetoNormalMode.
