•Real-timemonitoringofUEMTopologyMaps,whichalertyouoffaultsastheyoccur.
•EvaluationofUEMActiveAlarmsWindowonaregularlyscheduledbasis.

TheUniedEventManager(UEM)ActiveAlarmsWindowisusefulfortroubleshootingbecauseitcapturesalarms
thatmayoccurintermittentlyorduringoff-hours.Forexample,youcanreviewtheActiveAlarmsWindowto
correlatereportedlossofservicewithpatternsofcriticalalarmsforlinksandequipment.
WhenanalyzingtheActiveAlarmsWindow,lookforthefollowingtypesofpatterns:
•Failuressentwithtimestampsonoraboutthesametime.
•Failuresfromrelatedequipment:
