A40-footbatterytemperaturesensorcableisshippedwithyourdevice.Thisthree-wirecablecarriesavoltagesignal
tothepowersupplyfromasensorelementwhichneedstobemountedincloseproximitytothestoragebattery.
V oltageisproportionaltothebatterytemperatureandisusedbydiagnosticcircuitryinthepowersupplymodule.

Thesensingelementofthetemperaturesensorneedstobemountedsothatitdetectstheactualbatterytemperature
(ortheambienttemperatureascloseaspossibletothebatteriesbeingcharged).Therearetwoexamplesofmounting:

tiesshouldbeused(spaced6inchesapart),withoneofthecabletiesnotmorethan2inchesfromthesensing
