voltageforthebaseradio.HoweverthepowersupplyprioritizesanACsource(ifpresent)overthatofaDCsource.
IfthepowersupplymoduleisusedforthePowerEfciencyPackage,thepowersupplymustbeusedin
DCmodeinordertoobtainthe35Wstandbypowerconsumptionperformance.
WhenoperatingfromanACsource(90to264V AC,47-63Hz),thesupplygeneratestwoDCoutputvoltagesof
29Vwithrespecttooutputground.ThepowersupplyautomaticallyadjuststoACinputrangesandsuppliesa
steadyoutput.
InACmode,thepowersupplyprovidesaseparatebatterychargerwhichcanbeusedtomaintainthechargeona48
VDCnominalsystem,positiveornegativeground,ifinstalled.ThesupplygeneratestwoDCoutputvoltagesof29
Vwithreferencetooutputground,whenoperatingfromaDCsource(43.2VDCto60VDCmaximum,positiveor
negativeground.Thisvoltagelimitincludesconsiderationofthebatterycharging"oatvoltage"associatedwiththe
intendedsupplysystem,regardlessofthemarkedpowerratingoftheequipment.
ThebatterychargerisnotusablewhenoperatingfromaDCinputpowersource.
Thepowersupplycontainsseveralswitching-typepowersupplycircuitsasfollows:
•Powerfactorcorrectioncircuitry
•Batterychargingcircuitry
•Diagnosticsandmonitoringcircuitry
Thepowersupplycontrolsitsowncontinuouslyrunningfan,changingitsspeedtofastorslowasneeded.
GTR8000BaseRadio:IfthepowersupplymoduleisusedforthePowerEfciencyPackage,the
powersupplyfandoesnotrunbelowa40°CairinlettemperatureinDCmodewiththetransmitterin
ade-keyedstate.
GPW8000Receiver:IfthepowersupplymoduleisusedforthePowerEfciencyPackage,thepower
supplyfandoesnotrunbelowa40°Cairinlettemperature.
