As noted earlier, the tuned beam which is defracted from a SELECT crystal filter
will also include a number of n’th order side lobes. A typical example is shown in
the output spectrum graph of Figure 67. In this case, the tuned wavelength is set
to 640 nm and the energy of the 1st order side lobe is approximately 10 dB less
than the central wavelength.
